  • Have you ever wondered what happens to your recyclables after the truck picks them up at your house? Curious about what you can put in your clue cart or bring for drop-off? Wondering how you can recycle more? This is your chance to get answers to these questions and more!

It is estimated that roughly 8 million TONS of plastic enter our oceans and waterways each year. Recycling is an easy way to help protect the waterways and aquatic species we all love.

During this presentation by the City of New Braunfels Solid Waste and Recycling Division, you’ll learn what contaminates recyclables, what to bring to the City Recycle Center, and what happens to recyclables after they leave your home. There will also be giveaways to help improve your home recycling and tours of the Headwaters at the Comal available after this program.

This is a great program for both longtime residents looking to become better environmental stewards or new residents wanting to learn about recycling practices in New Braunfels. Headwaters at the Comal is a Texan by Nature Conservation partner.
