Formed in 1970 in Columbus, Ohio by guitarist Craig Fuller, Pure Prairie League rose to fame when their single Amie finally made the Top 10, two years after it was released. Ironically, it was on their second album and got popular on the basis of the band’s heavy touring schedule. Though the original lineup was Fuller, Tom McGrail, Jim Caughlan and JD Call, the band members changed numerous times during the next ten years. Nashville superstar Vince Gill was even a member at one time, singing lead vocals on several of their biggest hits. Today, the band is as popular as ever, touring constantly on the theatre and casino circuit. Due to their amazing performance on the Brauntex stage on May 11, 2018, they were invited back for an encore performance.
