The best summer vacation in Texas for families is at Schlitterbahn Resorts. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is back for another season of summer family fun in Texas. My family of six stayed at the Boogie Bay Condos over Mother’s Day weekend and it was the perfect centralized location to enjoy the waterpark and New Braunfels, Texas hot spots.

The Boogie Bay condo is an exceptional New Braunfels Schlitterbahn vacation. The condos at Boogie Bay are two story spaces that offer enough privacy to host your family and friends. These condos are exceptionally great for large families because they can sleep as many as 12 people with their 2 and 3 bedroom options.

Included in each condo is a full kitchen, washer and dryer, half bath, full bath, and a large living space. The washer, dryer, and full kitchen was a huge plus for our weekend stay. I loved that all of our swimsuits and towels could go straight in the wash after a long day in the waterpark. The kitchen was the perfect way to save money on vacation, we had  lunch in our condo and utilized the microwave, full size refrigerator and coffee maker the most. The beds were another huge plus. They are perfectly plush, with clean bedding, and so many fluffy pillows.

Staying in the Resort allows you to use the heated swim up bars after hours. You also get access to movie nights. Another plus is that the Schlitterbahn resorts are open year round even when the waterpark is in off season

The Boogie Bay condos sit right outside the waterpark close to Surfenburg. There is a resort guest entrance by the Butterfly Bayou that allowed us to easily go in and out the park whenever we needed. This was a great way for us to utilize our condo for naps, forgotten items like sunblock, and lunch while staying within walking distance to the waterpark.

Safe Summer New Braunfels Schlitterbahn Vacation.

Travel confidently this summer to Schlitterbahn Waterpark. The park is utilizing health protocols that seamlessly allow guests to confidently vacation in a safe manner. All guests are required to schedule their visit to the park using an online reservations system. Guests of the resort are automatically scheduled each day you are staying at the resort. Face coverings are required in closed areas like inside the waterpark, restrooms, and retail shops. There are also hand sanitizers throughout the park to use at your discretion. 

Excellent Budget Friendly New Braunfels Schlitterbahn Vacation.

Whether you are going for a day trip or multiple days there are plenty of ways to cut costs and have the ultimate family vacation. There are price points to fit every budget at Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resorts. Get a season pass to keep the fun going all summer long for just over $100. Schlitterbahn also allows you to take your own a picnic inside the park. Fill an ice chest with your favorite lunch, snacks, and drinks (no glass or alcohol allowed) to enjoy inside the park. Purchase a refillable souvenir cup and refill it all season long. Parking to the waterpark is always free and so are children under 3 years old. With multiple child friendly water play areas there is something for all ages to enjoy in the park.

What’s Open at Schlitterbahn Waterpark?

For opening weekend we were thrilled to enjoy Blastenhoff and Surfenburg. Enjoy our favorite rides like Dragon’s Revenge, Black Knight, Master Blaster, Boogie Bahn, The Torrent Wave River, Krystal River “lazy river”, the Kiddie Coast play area, Hang Ten Harbor Pool and Han’s Hideout. Schlitterbahn plans to put more of their famous rides back in full operation as the season gets underway. Another plus is that lots of the parks amenities like the restrooms at Blastenhoff and rides in the waterpark have had a makeover.
