Again, no store does more.
You can air up your tubes before hitting the river at these New Braunfels H-E-B stores.

It's hot, Texans. If you're outside, a river or pool must be nearby. For people floating this summer, H-E-B does more than sell sunscreen, tubes and snacks. The San Antonio-based grocery chain also offers a free-floating hack all tubers should know about.
H-E-B will air up your tubes for free at certain stores in New Braunfels. The New Braunfels Lifestyle Magazine posted on Instagram about the tubing hack on June 14, stating the service is provided at the store in New Braunfels across from Buc-ee's. H-E-B confirmed to MySA on Monday, July 10, that the store on 2965 I-35, New Braunfels, TX 78130 provides the free air.
However, the H-E-B on 651 S. Walnut Ave., New Braunfels, TX 78130 also offers it.
There's no cost and no stipulations to use the service.
And, yes, you can probably fill up your tubes for free at the tubing site you are looking to float. However, you can skip the lines and hassle at H-E-B. Plus, you're probably already stopping there before your float anyway.
In New Braunfels, tubers typically float the Comal River with Texas Tubes. The company is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tube rentals are $25 apiece. If you have a personal float, it's still $25 for a day pass (strange, I know). You can also float with Rockin' R, which offers a $25 tube rental and only a $20-day pass if you bring your own tube.
Happy floating!
